$500 Sponsor Appreciation Rebate

What this is

As a thank-you to every sponsor who runs with us on the Seacoast Summer Spotlight campaign, one paid sponsor will receive a $500 rebate on September 30, 2026. This is a sponsor appreciation rebate, not a raffle or sweepstakes: there is no separate entry fee, no purchase required beyond the campaign sponsorship itself, and every eligible sponsor is included automatically.

Who’s eligible

Every business with an ad on the mailer is eligible. If your spot is on the card, you’re included automatically — no extra step.

How the selection works

On September 30, 2026, one eligible sponsor is selected at random using a standard random-number generator. The selected sponsor is notified by email within 24 hours and announced on this page.

Rebate details

• The amount is $500 USD.
• Paid as a Stripe refund against the selected sponsor’s largest paid invoice. If the sponsor has paid both a deposit and a balance invoice, the refund is applied to the larger of the two.
• If a Stripe refund can’t be issued (for example, the sponsor’s payment method has expired), Josh will reach out to coordinate a preferred payment method.

Tax language

The $500 rebate is under the IRS 1099-MISC reporting threshold of $600 for a single payee in a tax year. No 1099 will be issued for this rebate unless the same sponsor receives additional payments that push the total over $600 within the same tax year. Sponsors are responsible for their own tax reporting.
